Inspired by contemporary R&B, lead single, "Secret," reached #3 on the U.S. charts while follow-up "Take A Bow," became her biggest stateside hit at the time, spending seven weeks at #1 in the Spring of 1995. "Bedtime Story" (#42) and "Human Nature" (#46) were the third and fourth singles from the album, hitting #4 and #8, respectively in the U.K. Bedtime Stories has sold over seven million copies worldwide to date and earned a nomination for 'Best Pop Album' at the 38th Grammy Awards. Mary von Aue from Vice magazine notes that, "Today, Bedtime Stories is not the first album that comes to mind in Madonna's legacy. It is, however, the most relevant to many of the cultural conversations that are still happening.
